Security Policies and Procedures

The Episcopal Community Federal Credit Union has established security policies and practices to help us protect your information and records from unauthorized access, use, and disclosure. We train our employees to protect the information and records that we keep. We prohibit our employees, and agents, from releasing any information about you to any third party in any manner that would violate any applicable law or our policy. Employees who violate these standards will be subject to disciplinary measures. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to safeguard your nonpublic personal information.

The credit union will not ask for personal information via email, such as account information and general personal information. If you receive an email asking for such information, you should not answer it because it is not from the credit union and is in fact a scam.

INTERNET BANKING ON-LINE ACCOUNTS
When you visit our secure web site (https://secure-ladiocese.org) to access your account, you will be asked for a Sign-On ID and Password to access the system. 128-bit encryption scrambles your transmissions when crossing the Internet.

Encryption takes meaningful text and numbers and scrambles them into numerical nonsense before transmitting them across the Internet. The encryption process encodes information going both directions—from your computer to the credit union and vice versa.

After entering the Password incorrectly three times, access to an account is blocked and no further log-in attempts will be allowed until you contact the Credit Union to regain access to your online account(s). You are responsible for protecting the secrecy of your Password. We recommend you not store secured pages in your files or leave your computer unattended while you are logged into On-line Accounts.

VeriSign, the recognized leader in Internet security, allows you to see the security features of the Episcopal Community Federal Credit Union’s Internet banking program before you use it. VeriSign has issued to the Episcopal Community Federal Credit Union’s web site a unique ID, assuring members who use secure sections of the web site that communications are encrypted for privacy. VeriSign Secure Server IDs provide the strongest security available today. Click on the VeriSign seal to learn about the security of our Internet Banking program.
